How to Add an Overtime Rule

By default, the Overtime rules are configured in the Initial Setup Wizard

 

1. Click the Global Settings Cog Wheel 

 

 

2. Click Time and Attendance to expand the options and select Overtime

 

 

3. Select an Assignment Group. Click here to learn about the Assignment Group  Hierarchy.

 

  •  Company – Applies to the whole company 
  •  Group – Applies to a group of employees such as a particular location or department
  •  Employee – Select one or more employees for individual application

4. Select an Overtime Type based on the time-frame associated with your company's Overtime Rules

 

 

Weekly - Overtime is paid once an employee works over a specified number of hours in a week

 

Daily - Overtime is paid once an employee works over a specified number of hours in a single day

 

Consecutive Days - Overtime is paid on the 7th consecutive day at a specified time

 

Time of day - Overtime is paid after reaching a specified time of the day

 

A Type Menu will appear for the respective Type selected

 

 

Click the the Type Menu to expand the options and configure the specifics for your Overtime Rule

 

5. Click      to create the new Overtime rule
